Bone Marrow Transplant 4 Lisa
Whether you knew Lisa or not, this page was your chance to post your messages. Your thoughts really did help lift everyone's spirits.
Thank you.
Here are your messages:
Simon, I hope you and the girls are well and it is good to hear that you are now embracing the life of a part time worker. As you say I cannot believe 6 months has passed so quickly. Just wanted to let you know that last time I spoke with Lisa I promised her 2 things, 1 of which was to spend more time with the family by working less hours - well I can happily say that in a couple of weeks I will be saying goodby to the M62 commute and starting my new job. As for the second promise I am still coming to terms with the fact that at some point I will be buying tickets to watch Dirty Dancing the Musical with Rach. Look after yourself over the coming weeks - you & the girls and Lisa are always in our thoughts.

Apologies to anyone trying to post on here of late...one or two 'technical issues' have cropped up meaning you would have seen a very ugly error message. I've finally managed to figure out what's going on..should be OK now. Is it Wednesday again? |

Simon, Ella and Amelia, this site is lovely. I read the updates and everytime I want to really cry but the tears of those of someone completely overwhelmed by the positive force left behind by Lisa and passed on to the bravest family. Sarah - I don't even know you but thank you very much for becoming a blood donor and registering on the bone marrow donor register. You...and many others I know...have done something very special. It is very humbling to think that because of Lisa and her story, other people's lives will be improved or even saved. Thanks again, Simon

Hello Simon, some time ago S.Mooney sent me a link to your website and it nugded me to become a donor. I am now a regular blood donor and I am also registered as bone marrow donor. I know its too late to help Lisa but I thought maybe if I could help others with the illness, possibly something positive could come from this awful situation that yourself and the girls have been left in. i look forward to reading another update, take care, kind regards,

Thanks to our computer whizz of a son, we are now back in the 21st century and can look at Lisa's web site without having to visit Susan and Robert's 3rd bedroom! We have just had a wonderful 3 days with Simon, Ella and Amelia visiting us, it finally stopped raining long enough to fill the paddling pool on Sunday afternoon, although the wind was a little cool. We then had a lovely outing to Wild Britain in the village of Wilden on Monday with the "hedgehog trail" prooving very popular. I am not quite sure why I became "granny" instead of "nanny" but Amelia probably had her reasons! We look forward to visiting you all in Bakewell as soon as it can be arranged. We both noticed the children had grown taller since we saw them last, a week is a long time in childrens' lives. Sending our love to you all as always, from Mum and Dad. xxxxxx

Memories are such a good thing to have especially when they can be recalled with as much love and warmth as you so obviously do.I am always amazed at the positivity both you and Lisa always showed in the face of adversity.as I've said before on here,I am in awe!!Your 2 gorgeous girlies really are very lucky to have 2 parents such as yourselves.I'm sure it's not been easy Simon and I'm sure it won't suddenly become a bed of roses, but keep smiling and keep buying good bottles of chablis and make the most of your 2 days of the week(during termtime at least)when you can have a bit of 'me' time!Love Jane.

hello everyone, hope you are well. just a quick note to let you know that we are all still thinking of you. our school has been very busy trying to raise money for a new library as well as for lisa's charity. the recent auction of promises did extremely well! i personally bid for a car wash by 2 y5 boys and they completed the task on monday (inset day for us). the boys both did a super job - how wonderful of them to give up a day off for such a fantastic cause! much love in wishing you all a great summer break, Alison P xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
